Website maintenance, WordPress updates and backups. Rolling 30 day maintenance plan, cancel any time.
A website maintenance plan is so much cheaper than repairing a damaged website or suffering the lost sales or damage to reputation when a site goes down.
An ongoing website maintenance plan is required to:
- Upgrade software and plugins or modules quickly when vulnerabilities or errors are found
- Monitor security software and check for suspicious behaviour
- Create website backups of your files and database to provide disaster recovery options
- Ensure your server doesnt run out of space (ecommerce checkouts and baskets can stop working)
- Monitor your hosting package performance and capacity and ensure fit for purpose
The potential cost of not having regular site maintenance
- Your site could be defaced
- The website could be deleted or rendered unusuable
- You could lose ecommerce sales
- Your brand may sustain damage
- You may find your website advertising things you dont approve of
- Your website may get blacklisted resulting in ranking lower in search engines like Google
- Search engines may put a warning on your website saying it has been hacked
- You may suffer data loss or data theft

Why would you pay me to maintain your site?
I know what you’re thinking. Why cant I just update my own site, or set it to ‘auto update’ ?
In a perfect world you would be able to update your own website. If no plugin updates, theme updates or core updates ever had any errors in them, if they all played nicely with each other, you could (assuming you have the technical knowlege) update your own site.
A core or plugin update could introduce a vulnerability or an error that breaks your site losing you sales, signups or leads.
The reality is that WordPress, and other CMS (content management systems) are so big and the number of plugins, modules and themes are so large that often a plugin may cause a conflict with another or not work with your theme at all even when in the past, they have.
Protect against attack with ongoing care
Not only does website maintenance reduce the chances of your website breaking, being hacked or defaced you can ensure that your business is prepared should anything go wrong.
Any website that is built upon a content management system such as WordPress require ongoing maintenance. Content management systems make our life easier, but in order to do that they have become very large collections of code.
Code is written by humans and as such is prone to containing errors and security vulnerabilities.
A site editor could make a mistake or a user could try and hack or deface your website. If you have a care agreement with me then your site can simply be restored using a recent backup. I drastically reduce the time and cost involved in putting your site right again which helps reduce any potential losses from your site being offline.
